Back next year...
The Scottish Midge Forecast has closed for the winter following its’ ninth season mapping midge levels across Scotland. We'll be back in 2014 to help you plan your outdoor activities throughout the season.
Using a set of algorithms relating midge activity to a variety of environmental and seasonal factors, the forecast is supported by live catch data from a network midge traps operated by brave volunteers across the country.
The forecast is also supported by Smidge, providing immediate, powerful and waterproof protection for up to 8 hours.
